My problem is I have never been a bad boy part 2

Why women want the bad boy, I am afraid even they really don't understand why.  Maybe the perceive a sense of danger or excitement or it might be someone in power or someone famous.

Sometimes they want the young stud or the rich father figure, one or the other might make them feel better.
I don't know, that I will leave that to Freud to figure out.

Even though there is a feeling of being used they figure it is a two way street. Everyone gets a notch on the belt. A moment of satisfaction. But a sexual high is a temporary thing.

Not that is a bad thing, lust is the driving force that makes the world go round, very basic, but there has to be more.

We all know of a woman who will say "all the good ones are taken. " Actually, she might have ignored all the good ones around her because they weren't good enough.  But some guys are the same way to be fair about it.

Sex starts in the mind, imagination goes wild, or maybe it builds up to a crescendo. Then it is a must have. I want it now, at any cost. And the bad boy fills that void.

Next is a repost on the bad boy viewpoint.

Not My Style

Almost every guy wishes he was the good looking, charming, sweet talking womanizer at one time or another. You know the guy, goes up to and home with any woman he wants. They all it seems succumb to his charms. They seem dazzled and flattered and unable to resist and off to bed they go. That night, they think they are the one.  Really?

I knew a guy like that. He was all of the above. I talked to him about it one day, how it was to be like that. his thoughts would surprise you,

He was out and about almost every night, him and a few buddies, most of the time on his own, looking for a woman to have sex with. Sometimes they were beautiful and young, sometimes not. It was something he had to have constantly, almost like a drug, a daily habit. But it didn't make him happy.  It left an empty feeling. But he had to have more. Each woman he met was soon forgettable, names and numbers tossed away.
He told me about a woman, she was so beautiful and talented, and he wondered why she was with him, it brought out his self doubts about himself.

I asked if he was always like this. He told me it was a family tradition. His father was the same way, always cheating on his mother all of the time. He was taught by one of the best.

I asked him how he could support such a life style. His mother had a condo nearby and all his expenses were covered by her. His paycheck was used for fun stuff, giving the illusion of financial abundance while working as an hourly right next to me.

He would talk about a bunch of stuff, but as one guy to another, we could see through his BS and laugh him off, he would laugh along with us. But women will see what they want to see and believe. Gullible, yea, I think so.

I guess any guy can be like him, most choose not to. Life is tough enough without feeling that emptiness inside that we all try to avoid.

Can women see through this? Some can, some can't, some don't care if he is like that, and some are like him.
They feel flattered they are the object of his desire even if they are being used.

I haven't seen him in many years but I am sure he is till the same way, habits ingrained in his lifestyle. He is older now, like all of us, but I am sure the routine has not changed.  I think he is eyeing you now ladies, will you succumb to his charms? I am betting you will. You might say no, his track record will say yes.

I am not like that. But it does have it's downside when one is taken for granted or forgotten about. But I am not going to change.

It is not my style.

Science Explains Why Women Want Bad Boys

Researchers seek to explain why women sometimes prefer rebellious renegades over dependable dudes.

By Kristin Wong 21 hours ago
Photo: Hal Bergman/Getty ImagesEver since James Dean put on that red jacket and held a switchblade to Buzz's neck, women have had a thing for bad boys. No—even before that. In the cold confines of a lonely cave, some Homo erectus was probably kicking back in his motorcycle boots, brooding over the light of a warm fire, while a lovestruck cavewoman swooned from afar.
The point is, women love bad boys. And now, thanks to science, there's no denying it. Kristina Durante, a professor at The University of Texas at San Antonio, said in a statement:
"Previous research has shown in the week near ovulation women become attracted to sexy, rebellious and handsome men like George Clooney or James Bond. But until now it was unclear why women would ever think it's wise to pursue long-term relationships with these kinds of men."
Durante, along with a team of researchers, performed a study on a group of women during periods of both high and low fertility. The women were asked to view the online dating profiles of both nice guys and "sexy cads" (their words, not mine). From there, the ladies were to determine the parenting potential of the men in the photos.
And here's where the hormones come in. During the time of ovulation, women tended to perceive the bad boys as better future fathers and more dependable relationship partners. Their rating of the nice guys, however, stayed the same, whether they were ovulating or not.
"Under the hormonal influence of ovulation, women delude themselves into thinking that the sexy bad boys will become devoted partners and better dads," said Durante. "When looking at the sexy cad through ovulation goggles, Mr. Wrong looked exactly like Mr. Right,” said Durante.
Aside from sounding like a bawdy joke gift from Spencer's, "ovulation goggles" seem to have some significance. They completed another study, in which the women interacted directly with male actors who were either playing the role of reliable dad or sexy cad. The results were the same. The ovulating women believed the cad was the better dad.
So, great. Now there's scientific proof that we women like bad boys. What are we going to tell the nice guys now? But really, what is a bad boy? Depending on who you ask, the characteristics of a bad boy can range from dismissive to downright abusive.
When asked about her love of bad boys, actress Scarlett Johansson once attempted to dissect the expression:
"I’m attracted to the quality of being adventurous and perhaps a bit mischievous and also questioning authority and being proactive," she told Cosmopolitan. "If that makes up a quintessential bad boy, then whatever. I’m not at all attracted to meanness or bullying, but I do think conviction is attractive."
Adventure, conviction, the courage to question authority—who wouldn't like that? But I suppose the problem is that, in reality, those ingredients usually mingle to form your typical love-them-and-leave them rebel who, bottom line, may not be as dependable as a nice guy.
If you've got a thing for bad boys, go for it. Just don't expect them to change, because "but my period said you were different" won't get you through a heartbreak.

How men think

e mail of the week

A touching story on how men  think......

As she sat by him, he  whispered, eyes full of tears, "You know what?

You have been with me all through the  bad times.

When I got fired, you were  there to support me.

When my business  failed, you were there.

When I got shot,  you were by my side.

When we lost the  house, you stayed right here.

When my  health started failing, you were still by my  side...

You know what Martha?"

"What dear?" she gently asked, smiling  as her heart began to fill with warmth.

"I'm beginning to think you're bad  luck."

I am so sorry, but there is a three drink minimum at this establishment!

I think I finally figured out the proper conditions for a woman to find me funny, handsome and intelligent.

3 drinks of your favorite beverage.

beer
mixed drink
wine
whatever

the wife doesn't drink that much anymore.
that might explain a lot.

the women I meet are usually sober, at work anyway.

I don't socialize like I used to, but if I do, that will be part of my social scene standards.

It is all pretend anyway

and if it takes a state of altered consciousness, so be it.

and I am thinking, it might be mandatory to visit my blog!

unfortunately
time for a work day coffee sans alcohol!

"Don't Look At Me..."

“I apologize because of the terrible mess the planet is in. But it has always been a mess. There have never been any ‘Good Old Days,’ there have just been days. And as I say to my grandchildren, ‘Don’t look at me. I just got here myself.’”

- Kurt Vonnegut,
Syracuse University Commencement speech, 1994
