Don't They Tell Us, All The Time, It's Safe?

It is safe.
 so they tell us.

The wave of the future.
so they tell us.

Disasters are impossible.
So they tell us.

The radioactive waste
lasts thousands of years.
More is made everyday.
We have everything
handled safely.
So they tell us.

Trust us, we know
what we are doing.
So they tell us.

The radioactive waste
spewing into the air
hitting the jet stream
will circle the entire
planet in 7-10 days.
So they tell us.

The most destructive
force on the planet,
is not mother nature,
it is mankind.

So they tell us.

Tragically true. We keep thinking we (meaning science/military) knows best and can somehow "out-think" nature. In the 50/60s, "science" thought it could actually improve upon mother's milk and developed formula. Seriously? We improved upon mother's milk? I know there is a place and time for formula, but to be so full of ourselves and so deceptive! And now this? The Japanese and American governments can't even agree. I am in such admiration that you poetically described this madness. God love ya. And God bless us. All of us. Even the madmen.
