Too Much To Ask?
to awaken
each morning
to the sounds
touch
caress
of one who cares
giving wide berth
barely a glance
tolerated
just
a brick
in the wall
a finger in the water
once removed
nothing remains
once was
hope and dreams
drudgery abounds
thoughts for
the future
cloudy and grey
no light at the end
of this
tunnel

Well written. Unselfish love is never too much to ask and is certainly deserved. Never settle for less than what makes you happy - life is too short.

Thank you. Sometimes life seems adrift and I grasp for answers.
Like your new, clean look here, Ray. This poem is deeply sad to me. I hate to think of you as unhappy.

Thanks for offering to post the badge. You just save the image to your computer and then use the "Picture" gadget and put the shadowstalking link in the url box. Let me know what you would like me to link to in return.

I am happy to do it for you, I ask nothing in return.
I'm with Poet, this is too sad. What could be different today?
You're the creative type and it has always felt to me that those types suffer a bit harder.
So sorry you're sad!

Thank you. maybe I ask to much.
No - I don't think that's the case. You maybe feel it more.
I get in my head and obsess a bit. Sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn't. I bet you know what I mean.

By the way, thank you for the creative comment. That is special.
Hmmmmm. sad.
