Pat Jordan is rapidly turning into one of my favorite writers. He has been plying his craft as a free lance writer and author for over 40 years. This is a story about his father. A most revealing look, which tells it like it is.

Finally got a chance to read this. This was a very interesting article, thanks for the link.
The topic of how our parents influenced us, for good or ill, and trying to break free of their way of doing things, concerns every thoughtful person, probably. This writer's reflections make one think.
Miss Cow
Everyone has a story to tell and we all could learn something from it. We never see the little steps along the way that form the end result.
This article gave much thought. Wonder if the author thinks it was good to live "without baggage" and without corporation, after all this time, or if he regrets as you say, the stops along the way.
Sounds like, he might have been okay had he not given everything to his wife in the divorce. Now at his age to have to be still paying off a house, does not contribute probably to his peace of mind of financial security.
Thanks again for thought-provoking article.
